1.Tank: The Team's Foundation
Tanks initiate fights, absorb damage, and create space for your damage-dealers. Great tanks like Tigreal, Atlas, and Khufra don't need kills to win games — they need to land crowd-control and protect teammates. Tanks are the easiest role for new players to contribute with because their impact is visible (big initiates, saved teammates) even without mechanical perfection. If you enjoy being the player who starts every fight and enables your team, tank is your role.
2.Fighter: Duelist and Frontline Hybrid
Fighters sit between tanks and assassins — they deal damage and can survive direct combat. Layla users graduate to Leomord; mobile players love Zilong or Paquito. Fighters typically operate in the EXP lane (top/bottom sidelane) and create splitpush pressure. They're punishing to play against because they don't die easily while dealing respectable damage. Best for players who want autonomy and dueling satisfaction.
3.Assassin: High Risk, Highest Impact
Assassins hunt and eliminate vulnerable enemies — primarily the enemy damage dealers. Lancelot, Gusion, Hayabusa, and Fanny are iconic. Assassins are the highest mechanical demand role: combo execution speed, target prioritization, and escape timing are all tested in every team fight. One mistake and you're dead. One good pick and the fight swings immediately. Best for players who have developed sufficient game sense to know when to dive.
4.Mage: Long-Range Burst Control
Mages sit in the midlane, apply burst magical damage, provide crowd control, and zone enemies away from objectives. Kagura, Vale, Cecilion, and Pharsa reward strategic positioning and skill-shot aim. Mages excel in scrimmage-style organized play where cooldown tracking and utility timing are understood. Good for players who enjoy deliberate, planned engagement over fast reaction play.
5.Marksman and Support
Marksmen (Granger, Karrie, Moskov) are the primary late-game damage source — they need the most protection early and do the most damage late. Supports (Estes, Angela, Rafaela) enable teammates through healing, buffs, and crowd control. In competitive MLBB, marksman-support bot-lane synergy is studied carefully. If you prefer keeping teammates alive and setting up kills rather than taking them, support is incredibly impactful at all levels.
